French Toast Recipe
Ingredients:
- Slices of Bread
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cup Milk
- Salt to taste
- Butter
Instructions:
Prepare the Egg Mixture:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 eggs, ½ cup of milk, and a pinch of salt. Ensure that the mixture is well-combined to create a smooth batter.
Heat the Pan:
Place a pan on the stove and add a pat of butter to it. Heat the pan over medium flame until the butter melts and coats the surface evenly.
Dunk the Bread:
Take a slice of bread and immerse it in the egg-milk mixture, ensuring both sides are thoroughly coated. Allow the bread to soak for a few seconds, absorbing the flavorful mixture.
Cooking the French Toast:
Place the soaked bread on the preheated pan. Cook each side until it turns golden brown and develops a slightly crispy texture. This should take a few minutes on each side.
Serve Hot:
Once the French toast slices are cooked to perfection, transfer them to a serving plate. Top the French toast with a small cube of butter, allowing it to melt and enhance the richness of the dish.
Add Syrup:
Serve the French toast hot and accompany it with a side of maple syrup for a delightful sweetness. Drizzle the syrup over the toast according to your preference.
Enjoy your delicious French toast with the perfect balance of crispy edges, a soft centre, and a delightful blend of egg and milk flavours.
